Hells Canyon/Snake River

In the spring of 2022, I was invited on a sponsored press trip, courtesy Visit Lewis Clark Valley (https://visitlcvalley.com/), along with other travel influencers to help promote the area. Hells Canyon and Snake River are major tourist draws for the Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston, Washington areas. We all embarked on a River excursion with Snake Dancer Excursions (https://www.snakedancerexcursions.com/), a local fishing & boating charter tour company. It was an amazing trip with lots of adventure, inspiration and education. Hells Canyon is a 10-mile-wide canyon on the borders of Oregon, Washington and Idaho located in the northwestern part of the United States. It is a part of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area located in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.

Snake River is a major river located in the northwestern part of the United States and is about 1,078 miles (1,735 kilos) long, making it the longest tributary to the Columbia River and the largest River in North America that empties into the Pacific Ocean.

It was an all-day excursion as we covered several miles of the River, taking a lunch break about mid-point, and enjoying each other's company while drinking beer on the boat. The tour guides did well to inform us of the history and other facts about the area during our trip. I mean, this was a day to remember and I'm looking forward to returning someday.

Hells Canyon gets about 35,000 visitors a year.

A big thank you to Michelle Peters, President/CEO of Visit Lewis Clark Valley for sponsoring us and also to the crew at Snake Dancer Excursions for the trip, as well as to the other travel influencers on my team that day.
